First time visiting this shop — came in specifically for beard maintenance ahead of a wedding. The space has a nice atmosphere and has quite a few great reviews at this date, which initially made me feel confident in the visit. That said, I left disappointed with the service. There wasn’t much effort to ask clarifying questions about what I wanted, and when I explained that I was growing the beard out and just wanted a clean-up, it didn’t seem to guide the approach. Unfortunately, the cheek lines are uneven — with one side noticeably lower than the other (1cm) — and the neckline was trimmed much higher than I was comfortable with. Great Barber Shop tucked away in downtown Lake Orion. Did not have an appointment but Alyssa jumped right in and gave me a great hair cut. Pretty good price for what you get: a haircut, hair wash, and neck shave. Will definitely go here again. I recommend setting an appointment to guarantee you don't have to sit and wait. I was lucky with the time I showed up, but will definitely schedule to avoid waiting.
