Eden Therapy and Massage- Southend

I’m sure this is a great place to get a massage bc I’ve heard good things. However, I have had the same therapist twice, at random. Laura. The first visit I had neck tension I needed worked out. She massaged every area the entire hour, and gave me a two minutes on my neck towards the end of the hour. Each time I asked for my neck to be worked on, she would say in a few minutes after I’m finished on this part. The second time I had her, I needed my hip and right leg worked on. I added deep tissue to my service. She worked on every other area barely applying any pressure the entirety of my hour. Again, when I asked for more pressure or asked for my leg to be worked on, she would say., “I will in a minute” and then wouldn’t. I paid for deep tissue and got a very mild Swedish service. I don’t

I’ve had many massages here and all have been absolutely wonderful. The Eden team is calm and caring, and this place feels like a little oasis. Today’s massage was with Caitlin, and it was my first time with her. I can say without hesitation that it was the best massage I’ve had in my life. She listened to what I was hoping for and made perfect recommendations in order for the session to not only meet my expectations but to go above and beyond!! Thank you Caitlin, I’m so grateful for the experience!

Such an amazing experience. We were flying standby and didn’t make the first flight so we had a couple hours to kill and this place was perfect, right around the corner from the airport, 2 minute Uber ride! The owner even drove us to the airport after our massage.

As your spa enthusiast, I came here to relax. I wanted to use those FSA/HSA dollars up with it being the first of the year! Why not! It was worth it as they are having a special. I hoped right on it. Best decision of January! It's small but cute and quaint. You won't get slippers and a robe as you change in the room, but I did get a dedicated masseur who focused on my personal needs. I carry a lot of tension in my back. So, as a plus-sized girly, that's where my focus needed to be, and he obliged. I always get a deep tissue. It's what helps me the most, but if Swedish is your thing, go for it. The tables are not electronic, but there was a heating pad. I was advised that the tables go up to 300 lbs. Jennifer Calabro as so wonderful. I had a pinch nerve on my one leg the day before the appointment. Ms. Calabro listened and made sure I was comfortable during the session. Everything was just right. Music was calming; fragrance was soothing and the heated table was perfect temperature! Did I mention the nice warm towels at the end? Awesome!!! I surely had a relaxed massage.
