Ebony & Ivory's Hair & Braiding Salon

I live 20 minutes away, but going to this shop is the best out of all the places I have gone to get my hair braided because the service is fast and the end product is worth the price. Plus the braids do not pain me like places I have gone before where my head hurts for a few days afterwards. I usually go once every 2 months. It is important to note that you do have to pay for your own hair, but the hair store is next door with affordable prices, and putting down a $50 deposit is necessary. But in 2 hours or less, the end result is beautiful.

Unprofessional and dissatisfied, will not be returning. Just know if you go here, you have to pay for your own hair and it’s in the back of a nail salon. I specifically asked for waist length braids but received my hair braided until my bra line and the excess hair just dipped in water (but still not a single braid even touches my waist). The braids are uneven and at the end when I finally saw the product and told them about my dissatisfaction, they said there’s nothing they can or will do. I’m not the type of person to argue about pricing but this is not a $200 plus style. The mother said she would give me a discount for me being dissatisfied but I was then denied. I had a good loc styling experience with Ebony + Ivory. The salon is very family oriented and intimate environment. Unfortunately my previous stylists either relocated or retired. After bouncing from salon to salon, I really appreciate Ebony & Ivory because of their knowledge and ability to educate me in my hair health and its current limits. Discussing my experiences and previous hair trauma of being held hostage in a salon, they understood and walked me through options. During a recent appointment the style I got wasn't very flattering on my face and I was able to come back and get the style fixed. Knowledge, kindness and quick turnaround is hard to come by, I'll be back to get my locs fixed.

Mrs. Sandi is God a sent and she took me last minute. She is fast and neat with her work. The other girls Christie and Ivory are very friendly and helpful. I had extra long,medium knotless braids done. The shop is very clean and has good vibes. I will definitely be returning and recommended this place to anyone. The salon does braiding and other hair styles as well. I LOVE MY HAIR!!😍😍
