Darlene was recommended to me by the receptionist in my doctor’s office. I always admired her hair, so one day I asked who was her beautician. She told me and also said that she was a “hair care specialist”, that was exactly what I needed, and she was very close to where I live. I started going to Darlene in March, of this year and I’m glad I did. She’s always on time, I’ve never been in the salon over 2 hours, and it’s very clean. She has a great bedside manner, and her clientele is very friendly and respectable. I’m very pleased with the products she uses along with the steam machine. My hair is all natural and anyone that has seen my hair thinks it’s relaxed. I’ve referred two clients to her salon.

Darlene has always been an excellent hair stylist. I have known and been going to her for 20 years since I moved out to NJ. She is professional and always accommodating. One of the best personalities and always cordial with her clients. Always encouraging with our conversations especially with the way I should maintain my hair. Darlene is not only an excellent stylist, but also a wonderfully gifted and skilled hair grower who works with natural, textured and processed hair. I came to her with my hair damaged and broken off in so many spots, and within months she had my hair growing and back to it’s healthy thickness and vitality. I’ve been going to her the last ten years, and it was the best Decision I could’ve made for my hair.

I didn’t have a great experience when I went to this salon over the summer for a trim and two braids. It was disappointing because I had high hopes based on the reviews. From the time I arrived, the owner handed me a comb and told me I needed to detangle my hair because she doesn't. I honestly wanted to leave from then but she already had my deposit hostage so I stayed. The owner had her unlicensed niece wash and style my hair. The owner cut my hair but her niece did the rest. Her niece struggled immensely to do two simple braids and wasted a great deal of my time. I knew she wasn't licensed by how frazzled she was over such a simple style.
