Duran Dominican Hair Salon and Barber Shop

I’ve been going to Johanna since at least 2009, back when she was at her old salon, and I’ve followed her ever since. Now that she’s at Duran Dominican Beauty Salon, she still delivers the same amazing results every single time. As a multiracial woman with thick hair, it’s always been hard to find someone who really understands how to get my hair silky, smooth, and healthy, but Johanna has mastered it. She’s consistent, talented, and one of the few stylists I trust completely. I genuinely can’t recommend her enough.

My go to! Johanna is the owner and she gives great haircuts. I always ask for her to clean the ends, but keep as much length as possible and she does an amazing job. Also, my hair wasn’t growing as fast as it did when I got it cut with other stylists and with her it grows very fast. This was the color I asked for and that’s exactly what I got. Also, she’s the only person I let wax my eyebrows cause I like it thick, but shaped and clean.

Nobody speaks English, except for a few barbers. Cash only. Friendly. It has a cool, old school, manly vibe.
