Ducktail Barbershop

Ducktail Barbershop is the first / only barber shop I've been to since my move to Rochester. This shop is everything a barber shop should aspire to be. The level of professionalism, artistry, and customer service I've experienced at Ducktail is unmatched! I've gone to Christian for my two most recent cuts and walked out both times feeling confident, and receiving compliments on my fresh cut. Even from observing the work from Dan, Chris, Nicholas, and Michael, I could tell you that no matter who you book with, you know you're getting the absolute best service, and a cut with the precision, care, and quality of a barber who understands the artistry of their craft.

Just got my haircut at Ducktail Barbershop in Rochester, and I can honestly say Nicky B is a master barber. He knows exactly how men’s hair should look — clean, balanced, and effortless. His touch is light, and the end result was the best cut I’ve had in years. On top of that, Nicky knows the area and even gave me some great local tips for Italian food spots nearby. The shop has an awesome vibe — the whole team meshes well, there’s a comfortable waiting area, and movies playing while you wait. Ducktail Barbershop just became my go-to place for a great cut and good conversation.

I walked into Ducktail barber shop one day on a whim. Needed a cut badly and had just moved here. As soon as I opened the door, I was blown away by the vibe. The place is old school cool. This place has character and charm from an age where the American dream is alive and well. Think taxidermy, wood grain, original barber chair with ash trays in the arm rest, and the feeling that a house costs a year’s salary. Nick was in the midst of a cut and gave me a time to come back later that same afternoon. Upon arriving back and sitting in the chair I was at ease. Nick is a consummate professional and specializes in classic haircuts. He handles the clippers and scissors with expertise and confidence, and communicated throughout. Best haircut I’ve had in years. The whole vibe of the place is welcoming; from the decor to the gentlemen who work here. Happy to have found a new barber in a chill place that embodies craft and quality that you can feel as soon as you step in the door. Absolutely will be back.

I walked right by this barber shop, hoping to get cleaned up before the Thanksgiving holiday. I was in need of a beard touch up and came in right before close. Christopher helped me touch up my beard, very friendly service and welcoming atmosphere!
