Had a great first experience. Perfect cut! However was disappointed when I returned for a second cut and was informed they had no availability at 2pm in the afternoon. This barber shop, like most have turned into more of a salon as of recent and walk-ins are not actually available like they advertise online and at their storefront... So make an appointment like your going to the dentist. Lol.

Solomon is METICULOUS with a straight razor. Best lineup I’ve ever had on my beard. I don’t know what a haircut/beard trim typically costs in Redding, I’m new here, but $40 for that, with a hot towel straight razor shave? Seems pretty reasonable to me, especially considering the level of care Solomon put into making sure my beard was lined up straight as a ruler’s edge.

Had an awesome experience at Downtown Barber Shop with Alexis! Super easy to book an appointment and everything ran right on time. The shop has a great vibe—laid back, welcoming, and good conversation throughout. Alexis is a total pro. I’m loving the new mullet, especially the clean finish with the straight edge—nice touch! Highly recommend if you’re looking for top-notch service and style.

UPDATE: Very cool - Shop reached out to me personally to make it right. Really nice. This was a very different experience. The shop was very loud and I was uncomfortable at first. The cut of my hair - my partner says wasn’t finished. There are stray hairs and uneven sections. It wasn’t inexpensive - sorta disappointing
