I had a phenomenal experience with Donna Prescott. The booking process was seamless, and the appointment itself exceeded my expectations. I arrived on time, though my hair was not blown out prior to the appointment (which I would recommend clients do in advance). Donna was incredibly gracious and accommodating, and I truly appreciated her flexibility. Moving forward, I will be sure to come fully prepared. Having been natural for over 10 years, I was understandably nervous about getting a weave again, but Donna immediately put me at ease with her calm demeanor and professionalism. I also have scalp psoriasis and use a specific serum that needed to be applied after the braid-down. donna did her big one with my hair! i caught her while she was running the wine and weave deal on tiktok and hopped on it. from washington heights to brooklyn. this is my first time with an old school stylist and i’m spoiled now. she shampooed me with firm hands, conditioned, detangled, and blew me out. her braid down was perfect, neat and not tight at all. she listened to my needs since i have colored hair and washed me with cool water, allowed me to decide how much hair to leave out and greased my scalp. she did this perimeter braid thing in the back and and sewed my bundles in so flat, that i can put my hair up in a ponytail and there’s no leave-out in the back. Donna is fantastic, so personable, knowledgeable, talented, and always leveling up when it comes to the latest hairstyles. She always makes me feel like Queen, like a valued customer, and has brought my natural curls, length and thickness back to my hair. Brought my edges back too! My hair is the healthiest it has been. This review is way overdue! I’ve been going to Donna for the past 6 months (give or take), and every visit has been top-tier. I’ve had several Silk Presses, a Smoothing Treatment and a Leave-Out Sew-In done with her, and every time I leave the salon, my hair looks and feels amazing. I recently went back to Donna the master hairstylist for hairstyle that I wanted to get for an event. First I wanted to say I have natural if you believe in hair typing I have 4c texture which is very tight curls. She washed my hair steamed it with a minty treatment which felt great for my hair. Then my hair was blow dryed braided at the crown and put into a ponytail. I love my hair hopefully it could last for at least two weeks.
