One-Star Review — Honest Experience for My Curly-Haired Girls (HEAT DAMAGE) On September 4, 2025, I visited Domingas Hair Salon in Brockton, MA, for a wash, deep conditioning treatment, blow-dry, and silk press with Chela. I have natural 4B hair and typically only straighten it once, maybe twice a year. Ninety percent of the time, I wear my hair curly or in twists. Chela, the stylist, was kind and gentle throughout the service, and my silk press turned out beautifully, picture-perfect, in fact. For that reason alone, I initially wanted to give this salon a positive review. Unfortunately, two weeks later, when I washed my hair, my natural curls did not return. Terrible service from the old man who serves, he should make room for another one. He is very rude and has poor service. He also sent me a pile of hair all over me, $25. what I wanted and how it left me

I was looking for a nearby place since I just moved here from the north. I definitely would not recommend this place. I shampooed my hair and applied a treatment before arriving, so the only thing the stylist did was rinse and moisturize it. She was very rough while detangling and blow-drying my hair, and a big chunk of my hair came out. She also almost burned my scalp and ear while using the hot comb. Terrible experience—absolutely terrible.

I had a bad experience yesterday. I had a wash and roller set on shoulder length hair. They wrapped it. When I got home and unwrapped my hair it looked as if I washed and pulled back. Terrible!!!! The appointment stated 30 and up for rollerset and no blow dry. When I went to pay she said it is 50$ and up. Bait and switch! So I payed 50$ for my hair to look terrible! I still tipped 10$ . Because I respect people’s profession. I was not treated in a kind and caring way that I knew at domingas. Will not ever go back. Which I was hoping to start going every two weeks there. Because my former hairdresser moved. I will keep looking.😓
