I chose this salon specifically because of the photos in the reviews, and I clearly showed those reference pictures to the nail technician (the woman with glasses). Unfortunately, the final result was nothing like what I asked for — the nails were poorly shaped, uneven, and looked rushed and low quality. More seriously, during the service I was cut and started bleeding, and no towel or proper protection was used at any point. While removing the old nails, dust and debris were flying everywhere with no basic hygiene measures, which felt very unsafe and unprofessional. When I politely expressed my dissatisfaction, the technician became rude and dismissive, and essentially stopped caring about my service. I was really disappointed with my experience. To start, the staff were friendly (I was only assisted by one technician, so my experience is limited to him), and the pedicure itself was fine. He was receptive to my design ideas & listened to corrections. However, I had serious concerns about cleanliness and safety throughout my visit. During the pedicure, I did not see any sterile packaging for tools or disposable items. One item in particular (a purple sponge) appeared to already be wet before it was used on me, which raised concerns about contamination. When I later had an acrylic set done, I requested a similar design and was told only part of the set needed to be changed rather than a full removal. I had the most incredible and rejuvenating time at DN Nail Lounge Ashburn, VA. The atmosphere is consistently serene, the soft music is Lively with familiar modern tunes, and the pleasant scent of fragrance is Forever in the air. I am ALWAYS generously grateful with the creative work my Favie* nail artist “Steven” does on my nails as we repeatedly “Hand in hand" exchange the POWER of financial support to one another. It's my birthday. My husband sent me to start my weekend off with a relaxing pedicure. I had to quickly find another option since it was too late to go to the only other salon I've used in the area who has given me some of the best pedicures in my life. I used these REVIEWS for this salon to head over more than an hour and 15 minutes before closing. I sat in the chair and was moved extra close where my feet were touching the front of the bowl, and I could barely get my feet in and out throughout the pedicure. Nothing relaxing about that. What I asked for vs what I got. Beyond disappointed, the older gentleman clearly was In a rush and was not receptive to my comments. Was somehow still charged $80 for this. Had to go to another nail salon right after to get something I’d be happy to wear, and was told by they’ve had to fix nails from the same place once before. Please do your research before coming to this salon
