Distinguished Gentleman Barber shop/studio

Terrible experience with my son, he was visibly hurting because of the clippers, and the scissors. I didn’t want to pay for the haircut that wasn’t finished. But I did. I asked him to stop cutting my son’s hair and he wouldn’t. My son was so upset I just paid and left. $25 wasted. On top of my son being upset, I was left feeling extremely uncomfortable due to the barber hitting on me. 😑 Worst experience ever, never again.

I want to start off by saying thank you to the barber. This man is excellent at what he does and a barber dedicated to his craft is a dime a dozen; there is not one person I’ve met with devotion to the trade as much as this man in the years I would get haircuts, not since childhood. That being said, let me say the haircut desired was provided with extreme accuracy. The man is an excellent conversationalist and despite what the negative reviews state, I think it’s more a personality difference than truly trying to sit and getting to know the man. I think this place needs a lot more business. For the style I requested it was a bit more, like $25 and it was also due to the length of hair he had to work with which was more time consuming, no faults there. I gave him $40 instead. Believe the bad reviews, I didn't because some reviews state this barber may have skills. It's true, this barber lacks interpersonal skills. This shop isn't up to date with modern times, it only accepts cash, I wasted my time going to the ATM. I showed the barber a picture of the haircut I wanted, and he stated he was not able to do it. Outdated, sporting a coat of dirt from the 90's, and possessing an unskilled barber; makes this a 1 star shop.

This man deserves all the business you can give him. I just got my first haircut by him and he did an excellent job. It is very rare to see a person this committed to their craft. It is also extremely rare to see someone on the spectrum run a successful business like this for over 10 years. He was courteous and listened to how I wanted my hair cut - better than anyone else. I won't be going anywhere else now.

Had a haircut here, liked it, would recommend, but the story is important I think. I was visiting San Antonio for work, about two months so I had two haircuts total. The first haircut was rather uninspiring, so I looked up a few places and saw this place. After reading a few reviews, this sounded like the right place to go, a bunch of reviews complaining about this fellows social manner but none complaining about the haircut. Also, it was right next to HEB, and if you don't like HEB you can kindly keep that to yourself you communist.
