As a licensed hairstylist with 26 years of experience, I am beyond disappointed and offended by the way I was treated at Discounted Beauty Supply. I came in to return unused braiding hair from a purchase the night before (around $40, receipt in hand). While speaking with another Black woman about hair extensions, textures, and different brands, the staff — specifically two male employees, one appearing to be the manager — interrupted our conversation and told me not to talk to her. Excuse me? I was offering professional advice to another customer about her options — something any licensed stylist would do. Prices are higher than most beauty supply stores. Outdated hair choices outdated brands. Visso 12 inch pack of sew in hair is $49.99 outrageous for an outdated brand! 12 inch hair is not $50

I was not too happy. I understand the store closes at 9pm. However, the guy closed before 9, saw me at the door and told me, No. I'm in customer service and I don't ignore a call "just because". He could've asked me if it was going to be quick. It was not my cup of customer service.

The guy that worked there was very rude after I wanted to change my hair color. I did remove from pack but hair was un touched and looked like the rest of the hair in the store. He removed it from pack and threw it on counter and said he can’t change it, which probably would have been fine but his tone and customer service was very poor and nasty, I will not be returning and I will let all my customers know not to give them there money here ever. We should not be treated this way when we have been spending money with these people for decades. I wish there were more black owned beauty supply hair stores because we shouldn’t have to take this kind of treatment with our hardworking dollars!! Choose to shop online first.

Closes early and very rude staff! Don’t support this business they don’t care about the community.
