Diarra Hair Braiding

I have been going to Diarra for many years now. I started coming to Diarra when she worked out of another salon and I am so grateful to have been with her all this time. I was so excited for her when she opened her own space. She is always on time, gentle on the hair and she has very fair prices. All of Diarra’s staff are wonderful as well. I can sit in any chair and they all do amazing work. I especially love how they do my knotless braids. They are so light on my natural hair and I have never had a problem with damage to my natural hair. There was even a time when I didn’t get all of my old braids taken out in time for an appointment. On February 18th, 2026, I had an appointment with Diarra at 11:30am but arrived at 12:09pm after purchasing itch-free braiding hair due to my sensitive scalp. I drove 1½ hours for this appointment. The shop was clean and calm at first, and she quoted me $220 including a wash, which I appreciated. I showed a clear inspiration photo and explained I wanted a Fulani design in the front with small boho knotless braids in the back (3–4 pieces of boho per braid). Instead, my braids were thin with only one piece of boho per braid. After I spoke up, they adjusted it, but I had to repeatedly correct the work. The biggest issue was the front cornrows. Love this braiding salon. Diarra and her staff were timely, friendly, and peaceful. The salon is clean and reminds me of how braiding salons used to be back in the day. I love listening to the women talk and laugh. And I was glad to be able to chat with them, too: Katie did a great job on my hair. I needed something different. She actually gave me a style better than the photo. My husband loves it! I’ll be back.
