You'll have to forgive that two-star review. I am biologically related to the poster of it, and I can tell you that this person has serious mental and emotional problems. My wife is a nail technician, so I understand that a hairdresser being open until 5:00 means you leave at 5:00. Meaning, if no one scheduled an appointment, by 4:25 p.m., if you don't have anyone coming in, you go home. Maybe a big corporate hair salon would stay open and not close the doors until exactly the posted closing time, but from what it seems to me you are a relatively small shop. So I mean yeah, you could wait a few more minutes, but before too long if anyone walked in off the street wanting a haircut, it would mean working past 5:00. I've actually been a paying customer at this salon once. My first experience was a good one. Why the 2 stars then, you ask? Because, had I not had that first good experience, it would have been 1 star. Twice this week, I have left work early and drove 40 minutes home to a closed salon that should have been open. And this is the 4th time in 2 weeks I've attempted to get my son in for a cut at this salon. The first time I walked by and took note of the hours. Second time I went during hours the salon sign stated that it should have been opened, but it was closed. No big deal. I, too, am a small business owner and understand that sometimes emergencies (or life) happens and you can't be at work. I get it. very nice people, friendly..i like the fact that now they do walk-ins on certain days..i love the fact that the people working here are EXTREMELY FRIENDLY, they make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in..i called to get my kids haircut and they got them in on the same day..i know if you want a certain lady to do your hair it does take a little longer wait to get an appointment, but its well worth the wait if your getting your hair colored!!
