Design Dental

Went to Dr. Tu because the periodontist he referred me to was incompetent and uncaring. 6 days post op. I had pain swallowing, had a big swollen bump on my cheek, could open my mouth about 1/2 inch and Dr. Tu told me I looked fine. Two days later I was in the emergency room. He didn't bother to do a thorough exam but believe me, I got a bill for it which I refused to pay.

Today,4-30-25, I had a filling repaired. Had the usual friendly and professional service by Dr.Tu and his assistant. The lady assistant was very friendly both before and after the repair and took the time to talk to me about the dental procedure and precautions i should take. I actually look forward to going to the dentist at Design Dental because of the skill and friendly atmosphere!

This practice is hands-down the best dental office I've ever had. I came here after pretty much having given up on ever having a decent smile again due to years of neglect. Gum disease, cavaties, multiple broken teeth. Dr. Shminke and Ally took me on as a client and never once made me feel ashamed of the condition I had left my teeth in, and they put in a lot of really good work and tons of effort to wonderful effect. I'm so glad I can actually smile at my son now. They were also great about helping me leverage my dental benefits to the highest degree possible, making something that was out of reach for me for long time financially viable. DR. SCHMINKE IS THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now and they really enjoy working and taking care of patients!!!

Been going to dr Tu..for years . Just had a tooth extraction there yesterday and I have to say. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. I was ready for extreme pain etc. and nothing that Tylenol didn’t take care of. He and his staff are the best!!
