I had an appointment a couple of weeks ago and have been meaning to leave a review. Upon scheduling my appointment the day prior, I let them know that I had an appointment at 1pm for a job interview. I arrived at my appointment and my stylist, Ana, was ready for me. She started right away. While I was sitting there, the receptionist came up and verified that I was the one with the interview, I said yes. She said, awesome, I just want to make sure we get you out of here on time! -Honestly, this was the best customer service I've received in a while. Ana was fantastic, she color matched my hair (even though it's like 18 different colors) I was even able to get a gel manicure from Maddie, she did a fantastic job as well. Loved Derrick's Hair Salon. I've had bad experiences before in other salons with not liking my haircut, and I could not believe how happy and joyous I left from here. Terri did an amazing job! I absolutely love my long layered hair 😌 I should have listened to my husband and gone since day 1 of their opening, and I will definitely be back soon!

I was very impressed with Derricks Hair Salon. I was treated like a VIP, the staff were very polite, professional . The salon was very clean. I had the pleasure of having Terry as my stylest. She listened to me, went over what I wanted several times. She took her time with me and did a beautiful haircut. Thank you Terry and I will be back 5 star all around!

I went in because I wanted to have a better experience in haircuts because I always seem to have bad luck and this was no different. I’m not talking about the salon as a whole but just one hairdresser in particular. I asked for lots of layers because my hair is wavy but with the right products and styling my hair has very lose curls. I came in and she immediately said that I didn’t have curly hair like her and mentioned it like 5 times throughout the haircut. I asked for lots of layers to create volume but she insisted that it wouldn’t look good on me. I told her about 3 times that that’s what I wanted but she didn’t do it. She gave me two layers towards the end of my hair and said that now I can put it in a ponytail several times. Don’t know why it was so important to her for my hair to g

0 stars if I could! Asked for a balayage and money piece and came out with highlights and one brassy money piece . Paid too much and asked for it to get fixed. They attempted it but the money piece came out chunkier and the only service that was offered was to make my hair shiny (to make it look more alive). I did hair after care and used the recommended hair product to take care of hair. It still looked brassy. Came back to ask for consultation and check if there was damage. There was. Refused to give compensation because they’re independent workers. Keep searching for different salons if you need to!
