I had another disappointing visit. I came for an annual full body exam, and really didn't feel like I was examined very well. The whole visits seemed very rushed, and the provider spent about 5 minutes with me. They sent the prescription to the old pharmacy even though I specifically requested to change it. And then I reviewed the written notes that I downloaded from the portal. The provider wrote the extensive education he provided to me. He never even mentioned sunscreen, yet on the patient summary it was written in many places in detail how he educated me about wearing 30+ SPF. I get it that reimbursement for well-visits is not fantastic, so you have to rush each patient, but I felt like this was even worse than usually. My appointment was on a Tuesday before 11am, only waited 5/10 minutes to be seen! Office and waiting room were super clean and the staff was so friendly. I saw Whitney Sharp the nurse practitioner to see a spot I was concerned about on my face. Super lovely lady and helped me calm my nerves. She told me everything she was about to do beforehand which was great! I was in and out in less than an hour. Definitely would recommend this location. Thanks again!

I’ve been using this practice over 20 years. It started with my kids and now myself. Very good experience, Positive, Caring people with listening ears!! I would recommend anyone to use Dermatology associates of Knoxville!!

I have used Dermatology Associates of Knoxville for a few years now. No negative experience until recently. During a routine exam for skin tags/sunspot maintenance, the PA found two questionable spots that I agreed to have biopsied. During the biopsy procedure, the male nurse (who was very nice and professional) told me that if either spot had to be removed, "not to worry" because the procedure was the same as the biopsy, just more numbing agent. The biopsy consisted of numbing the area and scraping off some of the skin/tissue for biopsy. The biopsy did not involve a scalpel or any stitches. While the biopsy came back benign on both spots (good news of course), one spot needed to be removed due to a chance of turning into melanoma. I scheduled the removal as quickly as my schedule a
