Depot Barber Shop

The picture at the beginning is what I showed him. The last two pictures are what I got. He said alright I could do that. He evidently could not. I really wish I could take legal action against this establishment so that everyone in the shop could lose their barber licenses and never get them again. In all honesty I don’t believe this guy has any sort of certification and if he does it has to be doctored. Hair is such an important part of who we are. I don’t want anyone to feel the humiliation I have felt today. Don’t trust these people and just go to great clips.

My mom went in to inquire about a kids cut for my 2 year old. We have never been before and didn’t know if it was walk-in friendly. Safe to say, it is not. They looked at each other and laughed at my mom’s question, and were completely dismissive. “Two year old or not, we’re tight” the only reason she shared that information was to explain that it wasn’t a cut for a grown man that was going to take a long time if they were super busy. They were smirking and laughing with the customers in the chairs as we left. How embarrassing. I never leave bad reviews but this was extremely disrespectful and left us not wanting to try local before a sports or great clips. Very discouraging.

Classic, no bs $25 haircuts. For someone like myself going to a basic great clips wasn't doing it anymore. These two gentlemen are kind hearted and Champaign knowledgeable. Lots of friendly convos went on for my quick haircut. Walk-ins are okay! But best to call if you're going for a Saturday, since that is naturally a more busy time :)

The shop is clean and has a lovely vintage vibe. Gene was very welcoming and a great conversationalist. Good, no-nonsense haircuts - $25 cash only. Appointments are preferred but they also do walk-ins if not too busy. Would definitely return!

Great old school barber shop. No BS, good price, fast service. Call ahead for appointment…they run a tight ship. Gene, Dave, or Don…you can’t go wrong.
