Del Mar Nail Bar

I hate to be so critical but I had the worst experience I’ve had at a nail salon here. The only tech doing acrylics had dirty hands, covered in wet powder & fuzz which I warned her about before painting my nails. She said it would come off but just left a huge mess on my hands & the nails. She over filed the side my pinky nails and filed into my nail bed. When I very nicely asked her to correct the horrible looking nail, she said “you’re picky!” Then I told her to look at the other pinky and she saw how bad it compared. She also snuck in extra charges like using pink powder without asking. I am currently reshaping and repainting my nails. My fingers are also incredibly hot & sore today. Run away from this place.

This was the first time I had been to Del Mar Nail Bar. I went on Monday 11/13 to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure. Within 3 days, both the polish on my toes and nails had chipped. While I was getting my manicure, the lady noticed a dark spot on my nails, tried to remove it but didn’t completely. After my nails were done, I noticed a few black spots as well as holes in the polish. Very over priced for the service I received, but the ladies were very nice.

Read about the good rating before making my reservation. My reservation was booked online. After not receiving a confirmation I called in to double check, but the phone line was out of service. We arrived on our booked time, but no one was reserved for us. However, we did end up getting the service. I would say... had definitely had better service and gel manicure elsewhere.

Nails are very bumpy. So much trash talk in their language. They cut me. Left bruises on my fingers from flicking my joint to clear the powder off. Terrible experience. Not coming back in their dreams. Felt like a 5 year old doing my nails. I even had an appointment!

I have been going to Del Mar Nail Bar for a few years on and off and have never had a problem with the quality of my manicure or pedicure until this last time. I went in wanting to get a simple acrylic gel manicure for an important wedding I have coming up. I showed her a picture of exactly what I wanted. I left the salon unhappy with the shape and color. After only a few days my manicure looked grown out and not good at all. I called to ask if they would be willing to discount me if I came back in for them to fix it and they told me I would have to pay full price for them to fully redue them. I will not be going back.
