Highly recommended! All the girls are fabulous; I love their positive energy—they're always happy and smiling! Marisol did my hair, and I loved the result. She listens to you, gives professional advice, and knows what she's doing. And Dayanara, the owner, did my Botox twice, and it was excellent. I'll definitely be back soon! I wanted to share my experience in hopes it helps others make an informed decision. I visited Dayanara Dominican Salon a few times and initially was impressed by how straight and sleek they were able to get my hair. However, after those visits, I started noticing serious breakage throughout my hair — it began falling out in clumps from heat damage. I also took my daughters, who have different hair textures, and although their hair came out bone straight, I became very concerned. My daughter, who naturally has a beautiful 3A curl pattern, could not get her curls to revert back after visiting. We ended up having to cut off the straightened, damaged parts because her natural curls were permanently altered. I’ve been to this salon a few times and they do a great job at getting ur hair straight and sleek, however be careful if you have a head full of gray hair. They don’t seem to know how to care for naturally gray hair. After this last visit I left with bluish purple hair with yellow and brown spots. When I washed at home a week later, the blue/purple colors are still there and the yellow and brown spots (which I think is discoloration from too much heat) wouldn’t wash out either. This kind of discoloration never happens when I style at home or go to black hair salons (I’m African American with relaxed hair) but has happened on 2 separate visits to this salon. I don’t even know how to get my natural hair color back at this point. My suggestion is that gray haired people be cautious.

I love coming to Dayanara Dominican Salon. Marisol always does my hair, she takes her time with my hair, she’s a perfectionist, and she is very patient, caring and kind. She takes into consideration my hair type and the color process that I have applied to my hair, so that my hair stays healthy. I highly recommend Marisol and the Ladies at Dayanara Dominican salon. I have been coming here for years and I always leave extremely happy. My mom, my sister, my daughter and my daughter in law are all regular customers at the salon.
