Davis Enterprise

Today is Monday Aug7th and the Friday edition is still online instead of the Sunday edition which should have been posted yesterday. What a terrible lack of responsibility. Once again someone from the Enterprise was not able to post the Sunday edition online. This is the second week in a row where the Friday edition is still online. Maybe Enterprise leadership can get someone to actually wake up Sunday mornings to post. This has been a frequent occurrence. The cost for subscribing is 2-3 times the cost compared to the Sac Bee, WSJ, Ny times, and it is only published 3 times weekly. I would like to support our local newspaper but not being able to post the Sunday edition online has been a little frustrating.

It is annoying to experience the login NOT working when I have paid for a year of service and have not changed my password. Perhaps you can change the login to recognize subscribers and allow subscribers to read articles without having to login. A local paper is vital and should be easy to access by subscribers so as to encourage other people to subscribe.

This review is an excerpt from a letter I recently wrote the publisher and owners of #TheDavisEnterprise. It was greeted with silence by all concerned. This helps explains why the paper is largely ignored in our community. 'Ignore your readers and your readers will ignore you.' Wanting to support local news in my new community, I recently took out a digital subscription to #TheDavisEnterprise for $60 a year. For comparison, one can subscribe to The New York Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, and numerous other newspapers and magazines for less than what this paper is charging readers.
