Ed is an incredible guy and gave me a top notch hair cut at a great price. I very much enjoyed my appointment with him. He is super welcoming and friendly and always does a great job. I would recommend him to anyone.

I really like Darlene's Place. She is very friendly and easy to talk to and does excellent work! She even gets called to do movie stars hair when they are filming in town! Her place is always nice and clean. She's given me the best haircuts I've ever had in my life! This place is the best!

It's a bit lacking in ambience but the loving, caring atmosphere more than makes up for it. Ed and Darlene are both great, but Ed is the heart and soul of this salon. Not only is he a talented and creative stylist, he has a heart of gold! Look how good he made me look!

As far as I'm concerned, this is the best place to get your hair cut in all of Pittsburgh. I walked in to see if they had time to cut my hair and I was very lucky that Ed had time. I'm from out of town and didn't know where to go, so the lady at Star Nails next door recommended Darlene's Place. I will be coming here every time I'm back. So by and visit them. You definitely won't be disappointed!

If you want a quick, cheap haircut in a smoky salon, that is what you will get. Don’t bother explaining what you’d like your hair to look like when it’s done, because Ed will do it however he wants and expect you to bow down and be thrilled with whatever it is. He may win you over the first time with a decent cut, but after that, he talks about himself the entire time and barely pays attention to what he’s doing with your hair. But, again, I guess that’s what you get for $25. I’d rather go to Super Cuts.
