I made an appointment here with Katie on a whim after the lady who has been cutting my hair for 10 years moved. I had a great experience, she did an amazing job. Will definitely be back. Also, worth mentioning, there was an adorable shop dog that made me really happy.

The entire experience I had at this establishment months ago has still left a bad taste in my mouth. I had booked an appointment with Daphne as she was the only hairstylist at the time, and all I can say is the entire experience was terrible. First off, she was complaining and saying poor things about all the previous stylists, while constantly bragging about her experience with L'oreal. I simply came in for a trim, including layers and curtain bangs, yet this cut took 3 hours. She styled my hair so poorly, straightening it after I told her I have curls. I have been told by every stylist that I have thick hair, and she was the first stylist to tell me my hair was not thick, which likely led to the poor cut. She did not stop talking the ENTIRE time. Daphne and her team are cut above (pun, fully intended:) I was referred to Daphne and my first cut was top tier. Daphne took her time to explain just what she was doing and made recommendations that I accepted..and very glad that I did. Others noticed and it’s the first time that I had a haircut look so good for more than 3 weeks. Great people here and a really nice place.

I've been going to Daphne's for the last 6 months and could not be happier! April has been amazing, my hair is healthy, shiny and looks fantastic. I have fairly curly hair so it's always a challenge to find the right stylist. They always offer me coffee or drinks. The music is hopping. Everyone is very friendly and you feel like you're just hanging with friends. They are really dedicated to improving and supporting the local community and have recently hosted local art shows. Daphne is really dedicated to sustainability and is the sole carrier of the seven line a vegan product line dedicated to environmentally friendly practices. No, they didn't pay me to write such a glowing review, I'm just a happy customer who wants to share this amazing business with Hampton Roads!

First of all Lynn, is an angel, and deserves to be treated better. I came to Daphne's to get a professional hair dye and cut. My first 2 calls were ignored but I listened to the recording suggesting to text. I texted and explained my situation, it took Daphne a few days to reply. I even sent pictures of my current hair. She told me I needed to come in for a consultation. I came in and Lynn was the very nice lady that did my consultation, while Daphne was working on another client. My situation: Red head, 6 months of Box bleach-dyed fantasy hair in teal-blue which left my hair a light pastel green in most places. I came to this situation knowing it would be somewhat difficult to get my hair cut and dyed, but Daphne seemed to enjoy laying on me how difficult it was to start with because I
