Freddy has been running this hair saloon for thirty five years. He has seen the neighbourhood change during this time, a witness of gentrification. The interior of this establishment is like a museum. Freddy has been collecting road signs for as long as he had this shop. The walls and ceiling is filled with these decorations. He is also a lover of exotic pets. He has two beautiful cockatoos, two lizards, a little greenhouse in the corner, and decorated the outside pavement with green patches. He used to have a 15 feet anaconda, but a feeding incident attracted unpleasant attention from school kids. He gave it away. Freddy also supports the arts. The back wall has graffiti art. And on his front wall he has road signs in collaboration with @dreadlockpranksta, a local guerrilla street art

My man Freddy this guy is one of the reasons why I’m Still in the business for over 30 years, he taught me How to cut every texture hair and style in just six months maybe less I forgot lol but great man always willing give a young brother a chance Every time I go to New York, I gotta come check you. The $20 hair cut turned out to be $30. Didn't even ask for a beard adjustment; the guy did it regardless and charged an extra $10 for a 30-second use of the trimmer machine. The haircut was not even satisfactory and the beard adjustment the guy made was extremely mediocre; it didn't even line up with my chin. Also the attitude of the guy was terrible. Seemed he has regulars and don't care about new customers. Customer service/hospitality is lost there. It seems that they are running a scam here. Wouldn't recommend going there. Go somewhere else!

I been at this barbershop for almost 25yrs .i knew the owner since 79 when him and his partner Marty was the ones to see if you wanted a cut as the years go on I decided to pick up the trade of cutting hair at the barbershop that now there call it Cuttys hair studio and it have been nothing but pleasure to work and meet some of the most famous people in the world of sports and music. So come by and experience the atmosphere!!

I just got my best haircut here from a barber named Angel. Most barbers nowadays are just lazy but he paid real close attention to detail. It was worth the $30. The taper was perfect and the trim was symmetrical and even.
