We enjoyed the 1905 salad. The mains were okay (paella and mixed platter) but the desserts were a standout. The key lime pie and guava turnover were REALLY good. Our server Bri was so friendly and we were really impressed with how Wesley was so quick and anticipated what we needed before we asked for it! Great service!!!

We had lunch at Columbia while visiting Ybor City and had a really nice experience overall. Nate was our server and he was friendly, respectful, and attentive without being overbearing. Service felt relaxed but efficient, which made the meal enjoyable. While we waited for our food, we were served slices of warm Cuban bread, which was a great start. We ordered empanadas and the Cuban sandwich, and everything tasted excellent. The empanadas were flavorful and fresh, and the Cuban sandwich was one of the best we’ve had — perfectly pressed and packed with flavor. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. We had a reservation for four and arrived on time. There was about a 15-minute wait before we were seated, but the staff was polite and communicative, so it wasn’t a big issue. The restaurant

We stopped in for a late lunch, weekday date. Luisa took care of our table and offered a wonderful experience. This was my husband’s first visit, my second. The food was delicious, we had a sampling of appetizers and shared a Cuban sandwich and 1905 salad. And the bread pudding dessert? Oh my! The service is what was the cherry on top. We will definitely return.

The 5 stars are for the warmth and professionalism of the staff. Without a doubt, this restaurant is overrated when it comes to the food, especially considering that its main dish is a “Cuban Sandwich,” which ends up being a baguette with ham, cheese, and other tasty ingredients. I have no doubt you could make a better one at home. I also had the chance to try other dishes like the chicken and a “Cuban” stew whose name I don’t even remember. But as a Latino, I can tell you not to expect too much. Of course, for other palates and markets it might seem novel—something normal for customers in the U.S. The atmosphere of the place is quite boring, at least on the day I went to eat—Monday.
