Clarisse Hair Braidings

Stay away from this salon if you have hair on your head. I came in, with my natural hair requesting a sew in with leave out, thinking that these people offered wash and condition or AT THE LEAST just a blowdry before braiding my hair. Nope, these people have no wash bowl, they had no blow drier, not did the lady make any attempt to even detangle my hair while braiding. The atmosphere was dead, unsanitary and unwelcoming. Dirty combs with hair placed anywhere, a dingy couch between the hallway and the bathroom, etc. they braided so tight that I have tension bumps on the back of my neck and nape. Please do not waste a dime here, the sew in was came out looking ugly

I have been taking my princess here for nearly 7 years and not once have had a problem here with any of the stylists. They are always professional & courteous. They are like any other black salon. They stay busy, so you will have a wait, but their pricing and quality make up for it. It hurts me to see bad reviews on such a wonderful business these ladies have built.

Frankly if you don’t know these people through friends or family members you’re not going to get a good service. I came to get knotless left with box braids because my hair is “ too short for knotless” note my hair is ear length fully stretched. After the service my middle part was so far left I came back to get it fixed and they argued with me for 5 minutes asking “ what’s wrong with it” belittling my ability to see straight??? The worst part was 10 days after my service three of my braids came out.

Poor customer service and bad manners! I was scheduled for a 2pm appointment, only for me to drive 40miles there, the very rude stylist, said didn’t I see her call at 11am to cancel the appointment? It turned out, she actually called a wrong number, after looking through my call log. Instead of speaking in a subtle manner or apologize for the impromptu cancellation, with an animalistic behavior, she was being rude and claiming right that it’s not her fault and there’s nothing she can do, like it’s my own fault that she’s not assertive enough to call the right number or be polite enough to pass the information after cancelling an appointment few hrs to the time. Zero accountability!
