City Nails

I chose this nail salon over four others in the neighborhood mainly because of the prices, which are noticeably cheaper than anywhere else: $10 for a regular manicure, $28 for gel, $36 for powder, and $45 for a pedicure. The staff is very friendly, and there are usually about four people working. I called to say I would arrive in 10 minutes, and they took me right away, which I appreciated. However, despite the friendliness and affordability, I would not come back. I’ve been to many nail salons, and a regular manicure should start with soaking the nails in a solution to soften the cuticles. Here, the cuticles were worked on dry, and one of my nails actually started bleeding (as shown in the photo). The powder manicure took about 1 hour and 10 minutes. I moved to Peekskill last summer and have been trying to find a nail salon that I like, with no success. City Nails was my 5th salon and I was finally pleased with my visit! I showed Lydia a picture of what I wanted and she did it perfectly. She was also pleasant and kind! Not to mention, for a dip powder mani and a special service for all 10 nails, it came to $50 which is unheard of anywhere else. Will definitely return ◡̈

I absolutely love this place! Maria is amazing and a fantastic business owner. Her employees (Gloria, Cindy, and Lesli to name a few) work very hard and are great at making all your nail dreams and requests come true! Their prices are the best in town and each time I’m there, I enjoy my experience! The manicures and pedicures last for an optimal amount of time (at least 2 weeks for SNS and longer for gel). They go above and beyond to make your experience at City Nails a desirable one. I moved from Westchester, but still travel to Buchanan to get my manicures done with them because they are my go-to! It was my first time here as I’d just moved to the area. I saw they had a five star review so I gave it a go and absolutely loved it! Jenny was the one to do my cucumber pedicure, sns powder manicure & eyebrow waxing. I made an appt and they let me come at an earlier time. I also was not rushed while I was picking a color and she didn’t overbook me like a lot of other nail salons do. If you make an appt they acknowledge that and give you your one on one time. I already referred two people to them and made another appt for next month 💁🏻‍♀️

The staff is super nice and kind. Very clean. I had a wonderful experiences and would recommend this nail salon to anyone.
