My brother recently paid $435.70 to have an obituary published in the Citizen for his late wife. The funeral director here in Florida contacted the Citizen to find out why it hadn't been published. The person he spoke to was rude and admitted they had it published in the wrong {Albany,NY] newspaper by mistake. They offered no refund and said that he could have it in the Citizen for another $435.70 ! The only thing the Citizen was ever good for was local obituaries and apparently they can't even do them correctly and for an outrageous amount! What a garbage organization.
This newspaper prints misleading and wrong information, then does not correct when prompted.
