This place is a hair haven! When I started going there a little over a year ago my hair was unhealthy, uneven, and uninspired. Now it's healthy, it's insane everyone who is a regular at this salon unless they have a specific pixie like style has long hair. Long healthy hair. When they silk press you, your curl pattern is safe. Valery is who I go to she is a perfectionist who always makes me look great. Jennifer is the hair dyeing queen. Jasmine's hair is always laid and her work is outstanding. Ms Milan gave my sister the perfect blonde highlights for her naturally dark blonde hair and Ms. Monica helps her maintain the look. There was a slight discrepancy with my appointment and who I was originally scheduled with, and without hesitation, the owner stepped in and made everything right. She personally did my hair, was incredibly apologetic, professional, and extremely knowledgeable in all things natural hair. As a pregnant client, I felt genuinely cared for. She was very accommodating, allowing me to take several bathroom breaks without ever making me feel rushed or uncomfortable. I was very disappointed. Even from the process with booking seemed off and the stylist and location was changed multiple times before my appointment. The main reason I wanted to get my hair done was to get a trim. After my hair was washed and I got my deep conditioner the stylist went right to doing the flexi rods. I had asked when will my hair be trimmed she said “after my flexi rod set when it’s stretched”. Did not sound right to me but went along. My flexi rod came out terrible no shape, definition, all frizzy. It clearly was not dried properly. The stylist made no mention of the trim and at this point definitely did not want her attempting to trim my hair in the condition it was in. This was a major let down. I decided to visit this salon as a walk in. A stylist took me in between appointments. The customer service was good, from the owner, stylist and receptionist. I told the stylist I wanted a silk press. My hair has grown out from the pictures I showed them, so the style I wanted could not be achieved without a cut. I decided not to cut, but just get it pressed and bumped. The stylist washed my hair and blow dried it in sections. She pressed my hair, but my curls didn’t even hold 30 minutes after leaving the salon. It supposed to have been “bumped “ but it wasn’t. That is something fixable I can do, but upon looking into my scalp, I noticed that my hair was not washed properly. Finding little white specs in my scalp was a very big problem. Valery was like a dream come true to find after moving to the area. I had been searching for stylists to do my natural curls and I found just the woman to help with my stress spots, get my hair back in the right condition. I’ve only been coming for 2 months and the growth has been amazing! The knowledge this young woman gives, atmosphere, how she is attentive to her clients are some of the many things I admire about her. She has a client for life, I can’t wait to see the growth in the next 6 months!
