Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery

My dentist referred me to a different oral surgeon however they did not take my insurance. My wisdom teeth were all the way in and infected. I called the Bluffton location and they were able to me schedule me for a consult and same day surgery within 4 days of reaching out. I called 4 times with dumb questions and they were amazing every time. My phone was stolen the day before my surgery and the ladies up front were so understanding and made me feel a lot more at ease.They reached out and got my x-rays so when I got there for the consult, they already had a plan laid out, I paid and within 10 minutes I was in the surgery room. My surgery nurse/ assistant/ tech (sorry I am not sure about the terminology) was so great. She explained everything perfectly and was good at keeping me distracte

I had some impacted wisdom teeth, a molar that needed a root canal (that I opted to get pulled instead), and a molar that had a cavity that needed to be pulled. We did all 6 at once. I’m horribly anxious so when I got to the office for my surgery I was crying and the nurses were amazing about talking to me and trying to get me to calm down…it didn’t work, but they did try! After the surgery, they send home lots of paperwork that outlines what you should and shouldn’t do post-op. Again, I’m very anxious so I freak out about the smallest of change! I sent a picture of what I was worried may be dry socket to the office and a woman name Anna reached out to me the next business day first thing in the morning to address all my concerns. Very thorough and experienced doctors, nurses and staff. Two of our kids have had surgery here and both were a positive experience. The billing dept is also excellent and refunded my overpayment without me having to contact them! Highly recommend!

As a seasoned patient and former medic -- my standards for good care are quite high -- therefore I just do not give reviews -- cause they would not be wholehearted, especially if there is any oversight that I have to follow up on... BUT that is NOT the case for this remarkable practice. So I can wholeheartedly say that this office - its staff- its practitioners and the environment itself are arranged to tend to the patients as well as possible. The FACT that they have a PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR [Kelly] speaks for itself... PCCs are a RARE thing in private practice offices in my experience -- and they offer just what the patient needs... coordination or care/ appointments/medication etc.. in other words TLC.. I was referred by May River Crossing Dental for a wisdom tooth extraction. I'm not going to lie, I was pretty dog gone scared! But as soon as I walked in the door the front staff was so nice some of my anxiety was melting away. I was quickly taken back by "my l'il angel" Nadia and a little more nervousness melted (drip, drip, drip). I didn't have to wait long for Dr. Moussa to come in. His assured me I would be fine and he wouldn't hurt me and HE DIDN'T! The rest of my worries just melted to the floor in a l'il puddle. All that worry for nothin'!
