Firstly, I would like to say that this place has a wonderful atmosphere and a backstory that will tug on your heart strings. The boutique inside is adorable and all the stylists and other employees are insanely friendly! I like to start with the positive first. 2 years ago, a stylist in Fredericksburg I had used for the past few years went into retirement. She had been perming and cutting my hair amazingly. Upon her retirement, I decided to no longer get perms and got the rest of my perm cut almost completely out of my hair here at Chany’s with a new stylist. The salon was right by my house, this was a big selling point for me. My goal was to start regrowing my hair to its original length of about 18-20” overall. My hair was probably about 8-10” inches long when I first started coming her

My family and I have been going to Chaneys for years now, and have never felt more at home in a salon. Everyone from the receptionist to the owner care for their clients as if they are family. They listen to what you want and make sure you understand the process of how they are going to get you where you need to be for your desired look… 10 out of 10 will always recommend.

Giving this place one star because it's required to leave a review. I see a lot of good reviews and that's the reason I trusted to go here for my hair to be done. That most definitely was NOT my experience, I wish it was. This is the first time I've had my hair cut and dyed in such a long time and was really looking forward to it. I even emphasized on the fact that I needed someone that knew exactly what they were doing when it comes to color when I made my appointment because my natural hair is so dark and it's not easy to lift to a lighter color. I made this known and I even brought in a photo of exactly what I wanted and well let's just say it was no where close. 😡 I do not get to do something like this much because of how hectic my everyday life is and like I said I was really looking
