C.F. Phelps WMA "Wheatley" Public Parking

TLDR: Hunt don't Hike. We came to the WMA between hunting seasons(except Dove)to hike and scout a possible hunting spot. The trails vary between seasonal roads and completely unmarked foot paths in the woods. Hiking here should only be done when you've grown tired of all other options in the area. A large portion of the WMA is scrub brush, which provides great cover for all sorts of game from rabbits to deer. It's a big enough WMA that you aren't likely to be in a swarm of other hunters as long as you don't set up 10 feet from the parking lots. On about a 4 mile hike we saw evidence of Coyotes, dozens of deer, and hundreds of squirrels. (Proof for you predator hunters out there)
