Catch A Wave

Both my husband and I came in to the shop today. We were lucky to get Monica who listened very carefully to what we wanted. She did beautiful blowout with curls for me and a perfect trim for my husband. She’s very kind and easy to be around; the shop is very friendly, We will be back!

My wife and I went in to see if they had time to cut our hair. Sat there for 5 minutes without being told anything (sorry we don't have time today or we'll be with you in a minute) yet the both of them kept talking away. I only gave them 1 star so I could write this review.

I was super nervous trying out bangs for the first time and Monica absolutely KILLED IT. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and it ended up looking even better than the reference photos. She made me feel so comfortable and was about the sweetest and funniest person I ever had the pleasure of meeting. I am absolutely obsessed with how my hair turned out and cannot stop staring in the mirror!! HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

I had a really discouraging experience. I was absolutely clear with my stylist about what kind of cut and color I wanted. I showed multiple photos of the color and cut I wanted. I unfortunately got the exact opposite. My stylist was very kind and very fun, it just missed the mark entirely. I paid and tipped and still had to go buy product to correct what I got. I was very clear about how I wanted to be as blonde as possible. I really don’t understand. I should have been more honest about how unhappy and disappointed I was but I also know it’s really hard work. In the future, a stylist should be able to say “I don’t know how to do that color or that cut”. I would have appreciated that so much more than leaving with what I left with. Very bummed.

I have had such an amazing experience with Miss Monica, The style and hair color I describe came out so much better than I could imagine! Monica was so gentle and her technique made all the difference! I can't believe it took me 19 years but I can officially say I have had the best experience and actually got what I asked for in color and style, I will never go anywhere else ! Highly recommend booking an appointment with Monica!
