Carmen's Barber Shop

Great haircut. It was my first visit. The younger of the two male hairdressers, spent a good time using hair trimmer and scissors, he also shaved my neck and eyebrows. I was very happy with the time taken and final finish.

Their prices has sky rocketed from 19 dollars to 25 dollars (that doesn’t include tips.) That’s by over 31 percent. I enjoy the place because the people are so nice. But the increase of prices and cash only makes it an inconvenience. Will the prices go down when the en only starts going down? This is how you can tell if these businesses are greedy or they are just doing the right thing?

Old school barber shop. Magazine rack. Sports memorabilia around the walls. But most importantly...... Standard haircuts are very inexpensive and they are very fast. You can be in and out of there between 10:00 and 20 minutes. Barbers are Asian and extremely skilled at what they do. The finish on your haircut includes a straight razor shave of your neck and they touch up eyebrows and other stray hairs for free.

Always a good haircut no matter who cuts your hair. I believe it’s the only barber who doesn’t take appointments and only walk ins. Which is great because you just go whenever you want. I’ve never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes…usually just get seated for a cut right away. Yes, it’s a cash only no frills type place, no wash etc. They do kids cuts and are patient with kids. They do straight razor/shaving cream back of the neck at the end which is nice too. Highly recommend.

Carmen's is the barber shop that I tend to find myself coming back to even after trying out more shops in the Westminster/Eldersburg area. I made Carmen's my regular after switching from Tony's on Crain Hwy in Glen Burnie because it's just too far away. I usually get Dave or Mandy here, never have to make an appointment, and have consistently walked away with a haircut that is really good. I usually get fades, but they've both done great with longer cuts as well. Normal cuts are $19 if i remember correctly, and fades are $21. They do straight razor edging and clean ups as well. Also, bring cash as they don't take cards here.
