What a roller coaster ride!!! First and foremost, Michaela is great at cutting hair! She did my long cut so SO nicely before a wedding I was going to be a bridesmaid in 🤍 Salon dynamics, however, were another factor completely. Unprofessionalism, was on full display, as Michaela shouted and bossed around her partner, Will, nearly the entire service. After the service I also stumbled across Michaela’s website. While I respect her vision, and her finding a way to finally express her ideas using AI as a tool for her neurodivergence, the work she published in her blog is a significant blemish on the brand of an otherwise successful businesswoman. I have curly/wavy hair and have had two previous cuts by Michaela that were good. This most recent haircut was a complete miss, not at all what I asked for. (See my inspo pic below - dark haired girl. Compare that to what I received.) The hair cut ended up about 4 inches shorter than what I had asked for and I some how ended up with bangs when I did not ask for them. The layers are extremely thick and choppy and don’t blend at all. Unfortunately, this will be my last haircut here. I was still explaining what I wanted the haircut to be when she did the big chop, shorter than where I had showed. Side note: when picking haircuts you must chose your cut based on the length of your hair entering the salon. I honestly debated leaving this review. I am visiting Moscow for a wedding and I was looking for a curl specialist to do my hair and just wanted my curls to look really pretty. I called and spoke to a guy on the phone who said his partner was the stylist. They said that they could cut my hair but that she was "over" doing updos. I explained what I needed (no cut) and it could be really simple. I could tell she had someone in her chair and was yelling at her partner who was then communicating to me. They also said that I needed a consultation before they would do my hair to make sure I didn't vote for Trump. Lovely environment and people!! I came in a bit nervous since I hadn't been to a salon for a while, but it was a great experience. Michaela is so skilled and great about explaining her process; felt very seen and listened to — really enjoying my haircut and will definitely be back!

Avoid This Salon at All Costs! If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would. I am beyond disappointed with the service I received, and I feel compelled to share my experience so others don’t make the same mistake. I called ahead to inquire about a partial highlight, tone, and trim, and was assured that the salon could accommodate my request. After a consultation, I was hopeful that I’d be able to get the service I was looking for. Unfortunately, when I arrived, I was met with nothing short of rude behavior from the stylist. They kept repeating, “I won’t touch that, there’s too much going on there,” in a very condescending tone.
