I’ve gone here once before today and got an amazing cut from Ben, everything looked great! I went back today and saw Calvin instead and explained I wanted a 3 faded into the top with a little off the top! He proceeded to give me one of the worst haircuts I’ve gotten in ages. I have 2 bald spots, so many off center layers in the back and hair so short I’m considering buzzing it to have it grow back semi normal. I would not recommend going here but if you do, do NOT take Calvin. The service they offer is great and they are super affordable but the cut itself was very disappointing

I walked in expecting just another average cut , nothing special, nothing memorable. But to my surprise, they gave me a haircut I’m genuinely pleased with. Ben in particular stood out. His attention to detail, his calm focus, and the way he takes his time to make sure you walk out satisfied ,it speaks volumes. This isn’t someone just going through the motions; this is someone who takes pride in the craft. The fade was clean, the shape was spot on, and the whole experience felt smooth and professional from start to finish. Ben doesn’t just cut hair , he puts care into it. Now, I can’t speak on the other barbers from personal experience, but from what I saw and felt in the room, they’re solid guys , well-mannered, respectful, and easy to hold a conversation with. In from out of town and they did a great job! Just what I would expect for my classic barber shop.

Old school Barbershop. They have skilled barbers that listen take their time. They even give you a shoulder massage with the hand massage tool after your hot towel. I have not experienced that since the late 80’s when all the old school barbers started to retire in my hometown of NYC. This is not a fancy place but it is clean and spacious. Prices are the same as most places in the Richmond area. I have had Calvin and Ben cut my hair and both are excellent. I highly recommend this shop.

Traditional barber experience - they do not use hot lather and straight razor, but instead they finish with a hot towel and shoulder massage. And the prices are great! Almost no one does straight razor anymore, and they give me shave bumps, so I’m fine with skipping it here. Ben does a great job for a fair price. Barbers sometimes have a tough time with my hair as it is curly and grown in fast - but Ben gets it perfect.
