Butler Avionics at KIXD, KS is absolutely one of the best aviation maintenance shops I've been to! I initially went there because Genesys Aerosystems recommended that I checked with them for an autopilot connector pin. when I went there all the staffs were very friendly and professional. Crystal and Tim went out of their way to find a couple of pins they had and gave it to me for free. few days later I went back there for a maintenance appointment for my plane, again Crystal and Tim gave me a 5-star treatment and were very accommodating, friendly and professional. They are also very affordable as far as rates. This is a great place to go for maintenance needs, I highly recommend!

Vanessa that answered the phone was great, but it seems all quoting goes through a guy named Gary. Gary didnt give me the time of day, i sent an email looking for a quote for a GTX 345, dual G3Xs, and GFC 500; Gary simply just didn’t have time for me and didn’t offer to quote nor give a call to clarify what I needed or anything else. Business obviously must be good if they are booked out 4 months; however I find this treatment very shortsighted as there might be a day when business is scarce and the customers like me that were treated in this manor will not be there.

I sent my Century artificial horizon in for diagnosis and repair. Tim Gastinger promptly diagnosed the problem and recommended an overhaul. He replaced the gimbal bearings and checked that everything performed to factory spec - all within 1 business day. I received the instrument back and now it runs like new. The overhaul fee was less than two other shops I looked into, and shipping was included. I highly recommend this shop for gyro instrument overhauls.

Pulled my Bendix/King KX 155 Comm/Nav and King KX 170B Comm/Nav radios out of my Cherokee yesterday. Drove over to Butler Avionics and explained what was going wrong with them. They called this morning and said they were ready. Put them back in the plane this afternoon. Out one day, repaired and back in the next! I got some good advice from the technician who did the work. Great staff. Great price. Highly recommended.

Patrick was AMAZING! He did excellent work, kept in great contact and he did what he said when he said he would, and pricing wa very competitive! We are super happy! N526E is flying the skies with a new antenna!
