Honestly this was the best experience I’ve ever had when it comes to hair. Michelle was awesome and the place looks like what you’ll see in movies very high end looking but very cozy. She was able to get me right even as a guy with stubborn curls and even coached me. Definitely would come again.

BEST HAIRCUT EVER!!!! i cannot emphasize enough how thoughtful, lovely and excellent the service was. the environment is so lovely and peaceful and my hair was not only transformed, but i learned so much about how to take care of it and embrace my natural curls which i have never gotten before. 10000/10. i’ve never felt so beautiful :)

tldr - a BEAUTIFUL salon, an AMAZING overall experience, and yes do the steam treatment! I moved back to Astoria after a long time, and was looking for a new place to get my hair cut. I had also put off getting it cut for over a year because of life&things, so I was also looking to get a deep conditioning/treatment done. Bubbles & Mane was the first salon to come up when I searched salons specializing for curly hair. I was super impressed with their description of their approach to their first time curly hair cut appointment (which PLEASE MAKE SURE TO READ AND FOLLOW IT!!) so I booked it with Michelle and also the steam treatment since it included a deep conditioning treatment. Gabrielle is absolutely amazing! Her facial treatment and massage were truly incredible. Her hands are so soft and gentle, making both the facial and body massage deeply relaxing. She provides top-quality facial treatments and has over 15 years of experience in the industry, which truly shows in her technique and attention to detail. She started by misting my face, followed by exfoliation and deep pore cleansing to clear clogged pores and remove blackheads and impurities. She then applied a mask and finished with a soothing massage using high-quality facial products. Every step felt luxurious, professional, and thoughtfully done. Michelle is by far my favorite hairstylist I've ever had cut my hair! I've been going to her for a few years and am always so happy with the results. The new space is really beautiful too!
