BSW Beauty - Dorchester

Despite reading some 1 star reviews I wanted to try this place out myself. I felt welcome here and they have a wonderful and beautiful selection of braiding hair. The staff were lovely and kind as well. A lovely lady whose name I forgot unfortunately was a staff member working the floor and she helped pick out quality hair caps. Out of all the hair stores I’ve tried in Boston i’ll be going to this one always since they have all the colors I could possibly want unlike other stores. Below is the results of my hairstyle.

Clean and has what you need if you’re going to a beauty store. Got a few things. The workers are nice but can get a bit distracted while they’re ringing you up. Did a braid with their braiding hair, decently priced.

Not a safe place. Feel uncomfortable walking in

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this store and will not be shopping here again. The staff member at the back had an attitude from the start, which was off-putting. She ended up handing the cashier the wrong wig, which I didn’t realize until I got home. When I returned to the store to exchange it, I was informed that they don’t take back wigs—even though I had called beforehand. This level of service and lack of accountability is unacceptable. Total waste of time and money.

Do NOT give these people your business.!! I don’t generally do reviews on a business and I try to give these businesses a chance but I have been to this business THREE times (I believe in the three strikes rule) and they are OUT! They are RUDE, dismissive, have HORRIBLE customer service and they LIE. They have a really nasty disrespect of the black community and you can tell by the VIBE as well as their actions! All they care about is your MONEY and the patrons KNOW IT!! The last time I was there I specifically asked if I could return a product before I bought it and was told YES as long it was in the 7 day period. I then buy it but don’t like it and go to return it and they say I couldn’t. What??! DO NOT BUY HERE! Take your MONEY ELSEWHERE!!
