Brown Sugar Nail Spa

I’ve been coming to Brown Sugar Nail Spa since they were on 9th Street. I like the new location because it has more parking. I always go to Meeka, and she never disappoints. I highly recommend this place to anyone in Philly or nearby.

I always have a great experience with Brown sugar nail spa. The staff is always warm & welcoming. The atmosphere is very chill/laid back. I get plenty of compliments on my nails every time.

Absolutely AMAZING salon! They closed the South Philly location : ( but the vibe of the salon on Lehigh Ave is impeccable...def worth the uber ride. They are also one of the few salons the offer apres gel x in the area, I will never go back to regular acrylics or gel. My go to tech is Amirah, super talented and so sweet. Nails are always perfectly shaped & spot on to the inspo pics, no matter how intricate.

used to be a regular at their old location a few years ago, mainly because they were one of the few salons offering Gel-X services at the time. However, the prices were always very inflated. I was told that with Gel-X, you had to get a full set every time—no refills allowed. But I later learned at another salon that refills are possible using poly gel or builder gel. So now I can’t help but feel like I was being scammed into paying full price every visit when there were more affordable, honest options out there. Their booking and cancellation policies are also pretty extreme. Back then, if they were running behind or had an issue, there was no apology or compensation. My experience at Brown Sugar Nail Spa is superior to any nail salon I’ve ever been to. Professional staff, and they do great work. My nail tech, Meeka, is simply the best at what she does. I will continue to support this business as much as possible.
