Brooks and Harlow Salon

I was excited to try this salon while my usual person is out. My stylist was nice but the results are very underwhelming for the price. I barely see the root tap color and as a result, I look like I have gray regrowth at the hairline less than a week out. I had talked to the stylist about wanting the grays covered/blended as much as possible, but the highlights are quite warm. On the plus side, she gave me a beautiful blowout and a nice cut. But the color service was underwhelming, especially for the price.

I went here for @ 1.5 years, approximately every 8-9 weeks. Each visit was @$1,100.00(extension reinstall-sew in and color). When I originally went for my consult, that I waited months for, I was very clear I wanted to add length and volume(my hair was already to my chest but I wanted several inches longer). My natural hair was almost as long as the extensions and quickly grew to be about as long as the extensions resulting in me having to prematurely buy new extensions. It took several visits for the stylist to add more than one row of extensions. It took nearly the entire 1.5 years/@8 visits before the look was what I had originally asked for. I have been coming to B&H since they opened - I followed them from their previous salon. Always great service until recently. A couple weeks ago I had to switch change an apt day for my son and then just had the old appt time stuck in my head. They called to let me know - I apologized - almost couldn't get a word in. He was on his way home from the mall and could have made it in the next 5 minutes. But I was told it was too late. His appt also never takes the full appt time. He is always scheduled for a cut and style but is never "styled". He gets some product thrown in and leaves with wet hair. They charged me for the full appt - I would have gladly paid half. **Update - I am changing the review from 2 stars to 4. The owner of Brooks and Harlow, Emily Chen, reached out almost immediately after I left the review. Her professionalism and thoughtfulness to my concerns were addressed completely. Though it does not change the outcome of my services from 5/5, Emily went over the top to make sure I was taken care of. I had a very pleasant experience with the esthetician who was kind and personable however, the results of my lash lift are highly disappointing. I've had about a dozen lash lifts done but never at Brooks and Harlow and did not think I'd be let down. My lashes grow straight out and can be stubborn, but it seems as though my end lashes are the only ones that took to the lift. Just hoping they look better with mascara, but overall the servic

My first experience with Emily was in 2008 when I needed a wedding hairstyle consult (and subsequent chop to a pixie cut a few months later), and she did such an amazing job that I've stuck with her as my stylist ever since. I've gone through various different styles over the years, but have kept it short, so I need a cut about every 5-6 weeks.
