Braids and beyond

Nuela was on time. Been going Afro style but this cold is requiring a hat, so back to braids. I showed Nuela a style of hers I mostly liked. She listened to and honored my tender spots, requested hair length, braid size, tightness and style. She gave appropriate feedback on my requests based on what my braid style would require. She had hair for me but I asked her to use the GYAL brand hair which I had with me and she loved it! At the end of our uninterrupted session, when I realized 3 vertical cornrows-into-box braids on each side (that I thought would be fine) did not work with my glasses, she took them out and re-worked them to an angle that fit and felt better — and without any signs of angsts about my request.
