I've had the pleasure of reviewing a great many businesses across this country. Many of them have either been hotels or places to eat. However today I've had a unique opportunity to see something I've never seen before. I was treated to an behind the "Ink & Paper" tour of the local "Bradford County Telegraph" and newspaper operation. The great grandson of the original owner "John Ryan Tillman" is a very enthusiastic & talented young man with caring regards for his community. After hurricane "Irma" had come through the town of Stark FL. the telegraph stepped up and done their part for the local community to try and make things a little easier for their corner of paradise. Stepping into this newspaper office is a lot like stepping back in time. It's only a small local newspaper that they produce, but it is reminiscent of papers from long ago. Local businesses advertise their products and services, neighborhoods announce upcoming events, and politicians update their constituents on important goings on. The paper has been around for a long time and, hopefully, will continue on for even longer. The city of Starke is proud to have them in their midst and supports the paper strongly. If you happen to be near Starke, take a moment and drive down it's main street (Call Street not 301). Find a parking spot, take a stroll and visit the shops. You won't bre disappointed if you are looking for a quaint, friendly town that doesn't put on airs.

I paid for a 12 month ad in the community directory and the paper came out three months late. I basically paid full price for nine months. I was never offered a discount even though they didn't deliver. They did a good job with my advertisement.
