Bofanta African Hair Braiding

Haven't been there for about 3 years but they are so good I just started to do my own hair

I showed up early before she opened and i was finish at 2pm. They wore masks and so did i. They didn’t have the exact color that i wanted but she did the style i wanted perfectly. 8/10 It was worth $170

Don’t go to this salon. I asked for knotless braids and the owner did some of them box braid. When I came back to ask her to fix her own mistake, she yelled at me and refused. Very rude people, dirty establishment, and poor quality. Save your money and go to one of the million other braiding salons in DT Brooklyn.

I went there for box braids and had a GREAT experience. Fatima was my main stylist however multiple ladies worked on my hair at the same time. They were very fast and attentive. Extremely knowledgeable and nice. Their prices are very reasonable and I will definitely be going back to get a sew-in. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I’ve been going to Bofanta for years and have never left disappointed. I hope they stay in business for forever! I can be really creative with what I ask for from a hairstylist, and they always deliver and do an excellent job. They are a hair-did factory and have a production line process that’s a beautifully timed science. Pro tip: make sure to come with a clean scalp and at least a light blowout for best results. I only put the four stars because I have a thing about bathrooms and I’m not a fan of the bathroom there. Which can be hard if I have to be there for hours getting my hair did. There are plenty of suitable if not downright pleasant bathrooms in the area. For the public loo-phobic (🙋🏾‍♀️) it’s advisable to plan a pit stop before dropping by.
