I used Groupon to come here for a much needed massage, specifically choosing their Thai massage. I've been fortunate enough to have been in Thailand, have had massages, and this is not a Thai massage. They called it a full body massage but the masseuse just massaged my neck, back and legs. For some reason she focused on the right side and the next day my muscles actually hurt all along my spine and neck because of the over-attention. The masseuse was sweet but didn't attend to the trouble areas I pointed out. The room was so cold, I was shivering and my hands and feet were like ice. It was pretty miserable. When I drove home I put the seat heater on as high as it would go to warm up. They may do wonderful manicures but they should close down their massage area. It is hardly a spa.
One of the worst “spa” (and I use that term very lightly) experiences I’ve ever had. I purchased a Groupon for myself since my sons have been going thru some health concerns as a treat for myself. The check in process was confusing and they said I had to pay the tax for the Groupon- which doesn’t seem right. The man was a bit rude when discussing the tip and it felt like I was being scolded by a teacher. The amenities where the massage took place was dingy and cramped. There was no hole in the area where my head went and it was hard for me to breathe until my masseuse realized there was an issue. Thankfully she took care of it and I was Finally able to relax a tiny bit, only to be taken out of the experience by the tepid temperature of the room. My masseuse must have noticed my teeth chatt
Walked out, it was comical. Felt like a Curb Your Enthusiasm episode, I see that he posts obnoxious responses, so good. That should tell you how he runs the business, I can only imagine how he treats the women who work in the establishment. The spa part he mentions, one would think it would be peaceful and clean. It’s a bunch of rooms old beat up recliners, used furniture from Goodwill, bed sheets hanging and ridiculous stuff on walls filled with dust, that’s the spa. It’s actually where the owner sleeps I guess when he is so busy. Again so good, the review feedback. You’re not worth a response or anyone’s business. I still feel bad for ladies that work in this place, telling you this guy is abusive.
Being a Newtown resident and a frequent customer at Blue Nails, I brought my friend for a pedicure yesterday. I have always spoken so highly of this spa for its cleanliness and good work. However, yesterday changed my mind completely and I will never return or recommend to anyone. First, while removing the gel polish the girl doing my nails cut my skin with the drill used. I made sure to point the blood out to her and say, “you cut me” but we moved on because it happens. I draw the line at the owner taking the female doing my pedicure into the waxing room IN THE MIDDLE of her buffing my nails for 8 minutes (haven’t even told her which color I wanted yet). While this is normal and does happen….no one took over for her for my pedicure. I am still a paying customer. Someone should have stepp
Got a fill here Saturday, I decided to try them, never been before, came in with a full set from 3+ weeks ago, all nails where on and no chips from my prior place (in other words no nails needed to be replaced, just a simple acrylic fill and paint). I was charged $72, for a fill! They said it was because of my “design” which you can see is a French design, he said $40 for fill, $25 for “design”. I paid and tipped with no complaints because I liked them and if that’s their price then fine. By the following Monday (9 days old) 3 of my nails were very badly chipped, I went in Monday to get them fixed, the lady was super nice and fixed them, but 2 days later 2 more nails chip (one was from original date but the other was one she had just fixed Monday- see in pic). I will never go back there,
