My 16-year-old cousin went to this salon to get her hair done, and the experience was completely unprofessional. They required her to pay the full amount before the service even started — despite her being a minor and not experienced with salon practices. In most Black hair salons, you pay after the service is completed, unless there’s a small deposit fee — so this was already a red flag. She asked for a specific braid size, but the stylist refused, which clearly showed laziness and disregard for the client’s request. The owner had to step in to correct her employee, but even after the owner intervened, the stylist still ignored instructions and did the wrong size anyway. While I was very happy with how my knotless braids turned out—the braider’s work was excellent—the overall experience at this salon was extremely unprofessional and stressful. Unfortunately, the way payment was handled and the lack of upfront communication were the biggest factors in why I will not be returning. I booked my appointment three weeks in advance and called with several questions about pricing, the type of hair used, and whether a wash was included. The website listed my style at $180 (told on the phone, a wash is $20) plus $20 for a wash, totaling $200. Went to the location on Rogers yesterday (Saturday) after making an appointment the previous day. Showed up, and the stylist said to take an uber to Nostrand, and she would pay me back. Got to Nostrand, and had to help the stylist separate hair for boho braids. The stylist did a great job but I wasn't reimbursed for the Uber. And TODAY (Sunday), the human hair fell out after putting it up in a pony tail. I would've just gotten box braids had I known this.

I never write reviews but Blessed Fingers does outstanding work ALWAYS. I call ahead and never have to wait and my hair always looks beautiful. I have been going here for 3 years & have done boho braids and twists at least 5 times. Each time the result was perfect. Elizabeth, the owner, is responsive, cares about her work and the work of her stylists, and has a great calm vibe. My styles last almost 3 months because they do such a great job and my hair texture is very fine 3c.
