Bless Braids Salon

The ladies here are always kind to me, and I truly appreciate their hospitality and talent. As a native French speaker, I know sometimes there can be small communication differences, but I always show photos to make sure we’re on the same page. Today, I was disappointed that the style didn’t match what I asked for. I requested medium cornrow braids in the back only, showed a picture of a previous style I had done here (only with a different cross pattern in the front instead of only the sides), but the braids came out much smaller and tighter than expected. The result is still neat and well-done, but my head feels quite heavy, and it will take a long time to remove them. Less than idea experience. Let's call a thing "a thing" It was Horrible. I made an appointment arrived on time was not greeted by any of the 4-5 stylists even after sitting for 28 minutes, I asked who would be styling my hair. Someone angrily stated she must finish the customer in her chair, before she would get to me. I explained my appointment was scheduled then asked how long would it be. She said 45 additional minutes. I simply said " Okay" and left, not to return that day. A few days later I made an other appointment. Second appointment: Ten minutes after arrival, there salon had the distinct odor of moth balls which seemed to get stronger and stronger by the minute. The stench was so pungent it was irritating my eyes and throat, also music/ TV playing very loud , at least 4 people

This was my first time going to this salon. I was impressed that I did not have to wait because my appointment was at 8am. The atmosphere is was nice and calming, as they had uplifting Christian African videos on. Sarah did my hair and was really nice and fast. Other workers came in and all were very professional. After my hair was done, she made sure to use braid sprays and oils to make my hair looked nice. I will definitely be using Bless Braids again. I was satisfied.

They’ve done my hair 4 times now and every time there was an issue. First of all when someone says “IT IS TOO TIGHT” that means please kindly try and loosen your grip. I tip quite well and I’m fair, each time I paid between $100 - $250 for my braids. This last time that I went there were too many hands in my hair to where some of the boxes were bigger than the rest. I wanted knotless and some weren’t I went back they fixed the boxes and made them even but the braids itself were choppy and uneven. The young lady she seemed really young was rude and rough as hell. They also appeared pissed that I made a big deal to get my hair done correctly. Though I like the owner and her sister I would not be returning. I rather pay someone who pays attention to detail and values their customers request
