Words to describe what I experienced from visiting the Black Orchid Salon can be put simply: Complete Transformation!!! I had asked Jennifer to give me a makeover, but I was a bit apprehensive as my hair has different textures. Anyone who has curly hair knows that it’s a challenge to get it cut properly to emphasize your curls and the shape of your hair. I knew that I wanted a change and I needed someone that I could trust who has talent and artistic vision and that I could just say, “OK, you know what to do, I trust you and give you artistic license to do with my hair what you will.” and Jennifer is that person! Black orchid salon is fantastic, between the quality of service, the speed, the wonderful people that work there, I would recommend it to anyone. The space is conveniently located in the old coke plant in midtown, the salon is well marked and easy to find. Jennifer did my cut and color and she was absolutely incredible, she is decisive, efficient and has truly deep expertise and mastery that you know you are in good hands. I have a lot of very thick dark hair and she is able to work with it effortlessly, I have highlights that I will get compliments on 5 weeks grown out because of the quality of her work.
