Bintou's Hair Braiding & Weave

I went today and got waist box braids for $180. My braids are not braided down to my waist. There were a total of 5 people that worked on my head. 4 people at one time at one point and I said it’s so many people in my head I can’t hold it how they wanted me to. Parts are a MESS. Braids are different sizes . I was there 3 hours. I don’t like the quality. One lady asked me can I pay before I was finished because she was leaving or something. But I won’t be returning. Waste of my money

I’ve been going here for 3 years, but today will be my last. It’s several different times they’ve rushed doing my hair, not give me the length that I asked for, (always making it longer than I asked), talking LOUD to each other over your head, talking about you in their language, and if you don’t like the hair, they’ll find every excuse as to why it looks the way it does, when it’s clear that they just didn’t do a good job. If you bring your kids, they’ll tear them kids hair out and do their braids tight ..they’re so rough! It’s the worst when they’re blow drying a 4c hair omg. They take people as they come in or as they call, because they want the money, but they do a lazy and quick job. They know how to put the hair in, but they’re unprofessional, and do not know about actual hair care

Gjamila did an amazing job with my box braids! She provided a great service and was very professional. I am extremely satisfied with the results. I will keep her and Bintu's Hair braiding in mind for the future!

As a repeat customer, I’m officially done with this place. I’ve given them the benefit of the doubt too many times, but this situation was the last straw. My daughter and I both showed a photo of the style we wanted and specified the length as mid-back. Everything seemed clear. At the end of the appointment, my daughter didn’t like one of the colors, which was used in about six braids. They agreed to redo it, which we appreciated. However, when I came to pick her up, the price had mysteriously increased from $185 to $225. They claimed this was the agreed-upon price—which is false. When I initially asked for small braids, I was quoted $225. I then said we’d prefer the size shown in the photo, and she agreed to do it for $185. This kind of price switch has happened to me before with my own

I feel like they rushed on my hair. My ends weren't secured properly and I had to return the next day to get my ends fixed. Even after getting fixed I found several loose ends. They were friendly. Update 7/11: went back due to long wait at another braiding shop. Had knottless done and they did them fast & neat. I was impressed. Maybe my experience before was with one particular braider. Updated to 4stars
