Binta Africa Hair Braiding

I moved from out of state so I needed somebody who does braids. The people I'm used too are a lot quicker and my braids/twists last a lot longer. As you see it's fuzzy. Also, my twits are starting to come out in the front. I got them done about a week ago. I've washed my hair once. Usually, I'm understanding about braids loosing up because I put them in high ponytails so my back braids tend to come out. But this was just UNACCEPTABLE! I paid $150 for this. It's not even the length or width I requested. If I wanted them longer it would've been $300. They do not accept cards. You either come in with cash or have to go elsewhere to get the cash. Disgusting attitude! The shop owner Fatima had the worst attitude when I got there and explained what I wanted to her. This is the second time I’ve had this experience here. I should’ve never given them a second try. Prices are also outrageous. I wouldn’t even let this place be a last resort.

I can’t stress how great and quick this shop is. I was seen by Rogie but the whole team was involved with my experience. I came in overwhelmed by life and they kindly took care of me. This kind was service was particular to me, I watched them handle every client with precious care. Most importantly, these ladies can braid some hair! So I went and had my hair twisted yesterday and it wasn’t by binta (who I thought it would be by when I spoke to her) anyhow the lady who did my hair did a horrible job. 7 hours there, twist were so thick, cut my hair when trimming, told me the wrong type of hair to use (I brought 2 types) and she had no idea of how to curl the ends as the picture I showed her was. Don’t forget I showed her the picture of the hair style I wanted and she said yes she could do that. I TOOK my hair out that same day (yesterday) and called her. I got my money back which I appreciate but when trying to give her money for her loss (she had a loss in her family which she told me) she shunned me and said no. She was so rude about it. Filthy establishment and I never receive the style I ask for. My last time there, some young girl was ripping out my long, thick hair with a comb unnecessarily in between braids- purely out of jealousy. When I called it out and wanted to leave, Binta threatened me for leaving before then, apologizing and having someone else finish my hair. It should have been free for the drama and lack of professionalism alone. Never again.
